The Seminar Series: "Empowerment and Grass Root Strategies"
Many times during the last years, ZEBRA has got in contact with NGOs from all over the world, that, despite precarious human rights conditions and difficult financial circumstances, have developed creative concepts for the integration and empowerment of people who directly suffer from discrimination.
Therefore, ZEBRA invited Speakers from India, Mexiko and Sweden to a seminar series that is part of the twenty-two anniversary project. The seminars are intended as a place for trading knowledge and developing strategies, and hopefully all participants can share their experiences, concepts and ideas with each other.
The series comprises three events, each lasting one day. For each event, one speaker is invited to give a lecture, which may lead into a discussion with the participants afterwards.
Target Groups
The following groups of people should be addressed by the seminar series:
- migrants as well as representatives of migrant self-organisations and institutions
- companies, organisations, and institutions that are aware of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) and want to open themselves for diversity management
- anti-racism initiatives, political representatives and social partners
- facilities and initiatives that deal with discrimination and equal opportunities as important topics
- everyone interested in the subject
