zebraZEBRA was founded in 1986 as an association in Graz (Austria). ZEBRA sees itself as an independent, interdenominational organization.
Objectives of the organization are:
• Enforcement of human rights • Proscription of torture and rehabilitation of survivors of political violence • Combatting racism • Promoting equality and sustainable integration
The counselling team of ZEBRA offers, among other things: The rehabilitation team of ZEBRA offers, among other things:

  • Legal advice for asylum procedures and actions of aliens' police
  • Legal advice on issues of family reunification, permanent residency and naturalization
  • Advice on family problems such as separation, violence, family planning, education, school, etc.
  • Advice on social issues such as housing issues, discrimination etc.
  • Psychotherapy (individual, couple and group therapy)
  • Psychotherapeutic care of unaccompanied refugee minors
  • Physiotherapy
  • Psychiatric counselling
  • Accompanying social work and legal advice
